Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1 .Installation and Deployment

Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables.

Conduct site surveys to determine the optimal placement of fiber optic infrastructure.

Set up and configure fiber optic equipment, including routers, switches, and related hardware.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols during installation.

2.Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform routine maintenance on fiber optic networks to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose and repair fiber optic faults, including cuts, bends, and other forms of damage.

Use testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and light sources to identify and resolve network issues.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities.

3.Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of all installation and maintenance activities.

Prepare detailed reports on network performance, faults, and repairs.

Update network diagrams and documentation to reflect changes and upgrades.

4.Customer Support

Provide technical support and guidance to customers experiencing issues with their fiber optic connections.

Work closely with the customer service team to resolve network-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Conduct customer site visits when necessary to address and resolve technical problems.

5.Team Collaboration and Development

Collaborate with network engineers, planners, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration and operation of fiber optic networks.

Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
